Michelle Mathewson, RN, BSN, began her caree in pediatrics in Las Vegas and later at The Children's Hospital, Denver: Several years ago, she moved to adult medicine and works as an emergency room nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital. The unexpected loss of a loved one, combined with the challenges in the care of ill children, sparked a passion for ethics. After three and a half years of working in a downtown emergency room, Mathewson's passion has grown to encompass end-of-life issues. Mathewson earned her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
