
Dayna Matthew, JD, serves as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and Professor of Law for the University of Colorado, Boulder School of Law and the Center for Bioethics and Humanities. Matthew primarily teaches health law and recently designed interdisciplinary courses in bioethics and medical malpractice. Her interests focus on the American health care system, racial disparities in health care, and the comparative study of public health systems internationally. Matthew has practiced as a civil litigator and a commercial real estate banker, and she clerked for the Honorable John Charles Thomas, the first African American to sit on the Virginia state Supreme Court. She earned her BA in Economics from Harvard-Radcliffe Universities and her JD from the University of Virginia.
