David Koets, MD, is trained in Internal Medicine with 18 years experience in Geriatrics. He currently serves as Medical Director for The Denver Hospice; Chair of the Community Healthcare Ethics Committee; and Chair of the Colorado Advance Directives Consortium. He is a frequent speaker on palliative care, advance care planning, and ethics in quality care. He is a member of the American Academy of Hospice & Palliative Medicine, American Medical Association, Colorado Medical Directors Association, and Colorado Center for Hospice & Palliative Care. Koets earned his BA from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and his MD from the University of Colorado, Denver.
